Newcastle Emlyn Holiday Cottages Dol-Haidd Isaf Carmarthenshire

Dôl-Haidd Isaf occupies a unique site on a low rise overlooking the River Teifi some 25 yards away. The complex is of historical and architectural interest as it dates in parts from the 15th Century. In December 1997, the area was designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest for both its beauty and richness of the animal, bird and plant life with 63 species of birds being recorded here.

Grounds of 40 acres surround the farmhouse and four cottages, which are grouped around a south facing courtyard. At the rear, they overlook a lawn bounded by fields. An easy level access makes the river particularly suitable for all anglers with disabilities.

Dôl-Haidd Isaf cottages are all self-contained. Each has a front door onto the courtyard and a back door onto a patio area leading to the lawn.
There is ample car parking space adjacent to the cottages.
(We are unable to cater for any pets at Dôl-Haidd and children under 10 years old cannot be accommodated for safety reasons.)

Each cottage is equipped with electric cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator, crockery, cutlery, and television. Heating is by storage and convector heaters. All beds are single divans with duvet quilts and blankets; bed-linen and towels are provided.

Each cottage has a comfortable living room with kitchen area. Bathrooms are fitted with showers rather than baths. There is a large drying/rod/freezer room with a coin operated washing machine for your use.


Wren's Nest Cottage is for two occupants in one twin bedroom.

Dairy Cottage sleeps three occupants in twin and single bedrooms.

Kingfisher cottage sleeps four occupants in two twin bedrooms.

Holly Cottage also sleeps four occupants in two twin bedrooms.

Dairy Cottage is two-storey with a steep open staircase but the other three are single-storey.
